Vienna attacker ‘born in Austria’ tried to flee to Syria, had previous terror conviction

A gunman staged a series of attacks around Austria’s capital of Vienna hours before a new Covid-19 lockdown was set to begin. At least 4 people are dead and another 7 are in critical condition, as one of the attackers was killed by the police, while authorities are still trying to find a possible second gunman. According to Austrian Interior minister, the 20 year-old Austrian-Macedonian main attacker had a previous terror conviction, as FRANCE 24’s Vienna correspondent Anthony Mills reports.
