EU pressures Astrazeneca after lab announces Covid-19 vaccine delivery delays

The European Union is threatening to slap tight export controls on Covid-19 vaccines to make up for what could be a shortfall in the Astrazeneca vaccine. This comes after the pharmaceutical company announced it would be unable to deliver the agreed upon number of doses to the block, which is already criticised for a slow authorization of different vaccines. The EU, which is expected to authorize the Astrazeneca-Oxford vaccine, has already committed to buying 300 doses from the company.
