EMA to rule on AstraZeneca safety, in potential blow to EU vaccinations

The European Medicines Agency is reviewing the safety of the AstraZeneca jab, with findings to be handed down in coming days. As FRANCE 24 correspondent Fernande Van Tets reports, the EMA has said it was increasingly difficult to say there was ‘no cause and effect’ between the vaccine and the rare blood clots found in women aged under 55. The EMA's ruling could have grave consequences for the EU's vaccine rollout timeline.
