At least three killed in Iran province hit by water protests

Iran's outgoing President Hassan Rouhani said Thursday people in Khuzestan have the right to protest amid unrest in the country's southwest over water shortages.But Rouhani also warned of the danger of demonstrations being hijacked by an "evil person" who might "use guns and shoot and kill one of our dear countrymen". Protests took place across eight cities and towns in Khuzestan province into the early hours of Thursday.
