Vulnerable Beirut residents struggle in 'fragmented' blast reconstruction

The explosion, considered one of the biggest non-nuclear explosions in history, was caused when 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate exploded at the port on August 4, 2020. In some of the most heavily affected neighbourhoods, some damage was seen to buildings with windows still blown out and shops reduced to rubble. French President Emmanuel Macron said he hoped that more than $350 billion in emergency aid would be raised to help the country’s people get back on their feet.France 24's correspondent Sally Farhat tells us more.
