Covid-19: Holidaymakers in China become trapped in sudden lockdown

The popular holiday destination of Sanya on the southern end of Hainan island, which is battling a Covid-19 outbreak, has reported 3,976 symptomatic and 5,287 asymptomatic cases from August 1 through August 16. For thousands of holidaymakers their trip has become a nightmare after they became trapped in a sudden lockdown imposed by local authorities. Our team reports.
